The locally filmed National Geographic Channel (NatGeo) reality competition series Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks is back for its eighth season, and we have two clips previewing this Sunday’s new episode.

In the first clip below, the boats brave the treacherous Oregon Inlet as a threatening nor’easter approaches.

In the second clip, Little Shell Captain Nick Gowitzka explains difference between ballyhoo and green stick fishing techniques.

On this week’s new episode, entitled “Beat the Storm”, the Southern boats battle an angry ocean and short weather windows to find scattered fish.
