On this Sunday’s episode of the locally filmed National Geographic Channel (NatGeo) reality competition series Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, one boat continues facing hurdles and just can’t seem to shake their misfortune, and we have an exclusive clip of last year’s champion Reel ‘E Bugging really bugging out.

In this clip from this Sunday’s episode, entitled “Hard Times at Sea”, Reel ‘E Bugging faces an unexpected hurdle when their lifeboat suddenly deploys from the back of the boat, causing the vessel to have to turn back and haul the massive raft back into the boat. As Captain Bobby Earl looks around for a tool to aid in bringing the raft and its ropes in, he asks for a gaff from one of his crew members. As the gaff is passed through the crew, Captain Earl accidentally pulls the gaff too rough, puncturing the hand of mate Drew Cooper. As Drew gets some first aid to stop the bleeding, Captain Earl can’t help but feel frustrated at his string of bad luck.

Filmed on the Outer Banks, North Carolina, the breakout TV show spin off of the original Wicked Tuna that follows the exciting work of hardcore tuna fishermen on the Outer Banks, production of the new season began in January, once again shot mostly aboard the boats of the local and visiting captains from Gloucester until the region’s bluefin quota is met.

Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks airs on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. on Nat Geo.
