Trick or Treat Night Returns to First Flight Elementary, Oct. 26th

Posted By on October 11, 2019

Halloween kicks into high gear at the annual Trick or Treat Night fundraiser event at First Flight Elementary School in Kill Devil Hills on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Trick or Treat Night is a family friendly fundraising event hosted by the PTO that includes a plethora of Halloween activities.  Guests can Trick-or-Treat through the themed hallways and library, visit the gym for games, or take a chance in the cake walk!  With face painting, a fortune teller, and a digital photo booth by Five Fish Photography, kids of all ages are guaranteed a frightfully good time!

Back by popular demand is the Haunted House (in a new location) and the newest event, the glow dance party in the Disco Dungeon!  The night also includes a raffle full of amazing prizes like a Samsung 4K UHD Smart TV and Xbox, an Apple iPad with accessories, a $500 cash prize, a Movie Night package, and a Day at the Spa from Hairoics.  Take your chances in the silent auction packed with merchandise and gift certificates donated by local businesses. Village Pizza will also be with us serving their delicious pizzas all night long for your hungry trick-or-treaters!

Monies raised from this event will be used to supplement several of the school’s existing programs and help create new learning opportunities for students.  Last year, First Flight Elementary School PTO, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was able to purchase special request items for the classrooms, including flex seating, wobble chairs, and OZO bots for the technology lab, as well as iPad accessories, headphones, atlases, and a new climbing rope for the gym. We were also able to support and expand our cultural arts program, offset yearbook costs for each student, provide incentives and prizes for our positive behavior program, pay for field day activities, provide items for teacher and staff appreciation, continue to keep our science lab stocked with supplies, and much more.

All are invited to attend Trick-or-Treat Night on Saturday, Oct. 26th from 4-7:30 pm at First Flight Elementary School.  Admission is $2 plus a non-perishable donation for the Beach Food Pantry. Don’t forget to wear your costumes!

This event is made possible in part by Super Wings, VanderMyde Real Estate Group, Spencer Yachts, Henry’s Restaurant, Red Sky Travel Insurance, Outer Banks Resort Rentals, TowneBank, Creecy Pool & Spa, Outer Banks Hospital, SAGA, Carolina Designs, Beach Painting, Soundfeet Shoes, Dirty Dick’s Crab House, Mobile Communications of America, Bonzer Shack, Outstanding Pools and Spa, Southern Bank, and Village Realty.
