YMCA Halloween Trunk-or-Treat Joins OBX HalloWeek Events
HalloWeek 2016 continues to grow, with the Outer Banks Family YMCA joining in on the Halloween festivities with their annual Trunk-or-Treat event in Nags Head.
Participants are invited to decorate their trunks and bring candy or prizes to give out to the trick or treaters. Your trunks may incorporate a theme, game, or activity.
Everyone is encouraged to dress in a costume and be creative. Obviously, all themes and costumes at this event must be family friendly.
You must pre-register if you want to be a “trunker” by contacting Shannon Parvis at [email protected].
Trunk-or-Treat is happening at the Outer Banks Family YMCA in Nags Head from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday, Oct. 29, offering yet one more fun (and free!) reason to join us for OBX HalloWeek.
The YMCA is also hosting a Pumpkin Decorating Party for all members on Monday, Oct. 24 at 4pm, which sounds like the perfect prelude to our own Great Pumpkin Contest, sponsored by Outer Banks Entrepreneurs, happening at the Halloween Parade on Sunday, Oct. 30.
Trunk-or-Treat is happening in conjunction with HalloWeek on the Outer Banks, featuring a week of Halloween events throughout the area, including the first Halloween International Film Festival Oct. 27-29 at RC Theatres in Kill Devil Hills and the 3rd Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes on Oct. 30 at Kelly’s in Nags Head, plus Wanchese Woods Haunted Trail, Halloween ComicFest at Earth 383, the Exotic Erotic Ball at Outer Banks Brewing Station, Scaryoke at Jolly Roger, nightly after parties following the film festival, and more.
