Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – Feb. 5, 2016: NC’s ‘Choice’

Filmed in North Carolina, The Choice arrives in theaters this weekend, while the Coen brothers call in Ceasar and Zombies attack a classic 19th Century novel, while The Finest Hours continues at The Pioneer.

The true story of a daring rescue at sea comes to the big screen in The Finest Hours (rated PG13), starting Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills and also at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, where the film continues a two-week run (through Feb. 11).

Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

The new comedy from directors Joel and Ethan Coen (Fargo, No Country for Old Men), Hail, Caesar! (rated PG13) stars George Clooney (Tomorrowland) as a kidnapped movie star, opening Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:10pm.

Also starring Josh Brolin (The Goonies) and Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers), you can watch the official trailer in the player below!

Also new this week, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (rated PG13) gives the horror treatment to the classic Jane Austen novel, opening Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:20pm.

Filmed in Wilmington, New Bern, and Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and based on the novel by North Carolina writer Nicholas Sparks, the heartwarming romance The Choice (rated PG13) also opens Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10, with a preview screening set for tonight (Thursday) at 7:10pm.
