‘Deadpool’ Outer Banks Movie Premiere Event Announced

Posted By on January 27, 2016

Our friends at Earth 383 Comics & Games and R/C KDH Movies 10 are hosting another movie premiere event leading up to the first ever screening on the Outer Banks of Deadpool, the latest film from Marvel’s X-Men cinematic universe, starring Ryan Renolds as the “Merc with a Mouth”, a fan favorite anti-hero from the comic books.

Deadpool is about to shake up the superhero movie genre like nothing before it, aimed squarely at adult audiences, with a decidedly dirty sense of humor and a hard R rating, officially opening in theaters on Friday, February 12, with a special preview screening set for Thursday, February 11, playing locally at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.

Prior to the Thursday preview screening, Earth 383 is hosting a pre-movie party at R/C KDH Movies 10, featuring an exhibit of local art inspired by Deadpool, as well as fans in costume and plenty of sarcasm to go around. The art exhibit will be on display in the movie theater lobby for all to view.

OBX Entertainment will also be there to capture all of the premiere night excitement.

The event is happening on Thursday, Feb. 11, starting at 4:30pm at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills, followed by the first screening at 7pm.

Earth 383 is currently selling a limited edition print made by a local artist for $12. With the purchase of the print from Earth 383, you also get a free ticket to see Deadpool with them on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7pm. You can purchase yours at either of Earth 383’s Kill Devil Hills or Elizabeth City locations.

You can watch the latest official trailer for Deadpool in the player below, or, for adults only, scroll down to view the red band (age restricted) trailer in the second player for a better taste of what to expect in the film!

Tell us in the comments: How excited are you to see Deadpool?
