Dare County Arts Council Announces Winter Workshop Events
Dare County Arts Council is presenting a number of winter education opportunities, with numerous options for both adults and children.
Courses are led by professional artists from Dare County as well as regionally and nationally known artists. All workshops and classes are open to all skill levels, and everyone is welcome to participate. Teacher renewal credits may be available for certain classes, and discounted tuition is available for DCAC members. Preregistration is required for all courses to secure your spot.
January 6 – Little Kid’s Art Party (ages 5-7), 3:30-5pm, $30
January 8 – Kid’s Art & Pizza Party (ages 8 and up), 6-8pm, $35
January 16 & 17 – WordPress for Artists and Small Businesses, $195 for DCAC members or $225 for nonmembers
January 21 – The Artist’s Way, Part II, every Thursday through April 7, 6:30pm – 8:30pm, $240 for DCAC members or $265 for nonmembers
January 23 – Painting Workshop with Adele Castillo, 10am – 5pm, $95 for DCAC members, or $110 for nonmembers
January 30 – Steam Punk Sculpture with Cyndi Buell, 10am – 5pm, $85 for DCAC members or $95 for nonmembers
February 2 – Watercolor Open Studio with Fay Davis Edwards, every Tuesday, 9am – noon, $90/6 weeks for DCAC members, or $115/6 weeks for nonmembers
February 3 – Painting Workshop with Catherine Hamill, every Wednesday, 1pm – 5pm, $40 for DCAC Members or $50 for nonmembers
February 4 – Painting Open Studio with Munroe Bell, Thursdays 9am – 3pm, $62.50 per class
February 6 – 27 – Writing Workshop with Kip Tabb, Saturdays, 10:30 – 12:30, is $95 for members or $110 for nonmembers
February 19 – Kid’s Art & Pizza Party (ages 8 and up), 6-8pm, $35
Many of these courses include materials. Gift certificates are also available. All classes take place at DCAC, located at 300 Queen Elizabeth Avenue in downtown Manteo. You may also join the council at any time to enjoy the member’s discount.
