Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – Aug. 28, 2015: ‘No Escape’ From ‘Friends’
Owen Wilson finds No Escape in theaters this week, while Zac Efron DJ’s the party, and a new Mission Impossible continues at the historic Pioneer.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of August 28, 2015!
Tom Cruise returns to action in the sequel Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (rated PG13), continues a two-week run at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, through September 2.
Showtime at the Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Also, happening this Friday, August 21, the Outer Banks Children at Play Museum is once again presenting free family film screenings every Friday this summer as part of the Movies on the Sound program, continuing this week with the animated sequel Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (rated PG). Owen Wilson (Wedding Crashers) must fight to help his family survive a violent uprising in Asia in the action thriller No Escape (rated R), opening tomorrow (Wednesday), with preview screenings tonight at 7 and 9:25pm, at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.

The only other new release opening locally this week is the drama We Are Your Friends (rated R), set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, starring Zac Efron (Neighbors) as a club DJ, opening Friday, with preview screenings at 7:10 and 9;35pm on Thursday, at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.
