Outer Banks July 4th Events To Celebrate Independence Day 2015

It’s the Fourth of July and we have compiled a list of events going on around the Outer Banks where you can celebrate America’s birthday this Independence Day and watch a spectacular fireworks display light up the sky!

DUCK

Patriotic festivities kickoff this Friday, with the town of Duck’s 11th Annual Fourth of July Parade, scheduled for this Friday morning, July 3, starting at 9am.

COROLLA

Also happening this Friday, July 3, is the 23rd Annual Festival of Fireworks at historic Whalehead in Corolla, which includes food vendors, a cornhole tournament, watermelon eating contest, and children’s games. Admission and parking are free, and the event starts at 5pm, with a fireworks display at dusk, sponsored by the Currituck County Department of Travel and Tourism.

MANTEO

The red, white, and blue fun continues at 3pm this Saturday, July 4 in Manteo, with family friendly events happening all day along the downtown waterfront, including live music, kids activities, and much more.

Roanoke Island Festival Park will host its annual Fourth of July celebration this Saturday, featuring a free live concert by the United States Marine Corps 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, followed by a fireworks spectacular, presented by the town of Manteo. Gates open at 6. KILL DEVIL HILLS

July 4th fireworks return to Kill Devil Hills this Saturday night at Avalon Pier, starting at dusk.

The Jolly Roger Restaurant, located on the beach road (NC 12) in Kill Devil Hills will be hosting their own Fourth of July party on Saturday night, with the perfect spot to watch the fireworks display on the Jolly’s rooftop deck.

NAGS HEAD

Nags Head will host its annual July 4th fireworks show this Saturday night, July 4 starting at 9:25pm, to be launched from Nags Head Fishing Pier, located at milepost 11.5.
