Kelly's, Nags Head Hosting Country Nights Every Thursday and Friday

Kelly’s in Nags Head is going country, with a new weekly competion series on the third Thursday and Friday night of the month through the end of this summer, as part or the national 2015 Zloop Country Showdown.

The 252 Country Nights will include line dance instruction from 7 to 8pm every third Thursday and Friday of the month, with live music from numerous regional bands starting at 8pm. 

Hosted by Dixie 105.7 DJ Ray Turner, two to four acts will perform 20-minute sets each night, and the monthly winners selected by judges and audience response will then be invited back for the Grand Finals this summer and a chance to advance to the regional Zloop Country Showdown and win $100,000.

If you think you have what it takes, the preliminary competition begins this Thursday, Jan. 15, at 8pm at Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head. To enter, musicians must first submit a sample a three-minute or less demo of their music in mp3 format to [email protected], or drop off a CD at the ECRI studios, located behind Dirty Dick’s between the highways in Nags Head.
