Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – Dec. 12, 2014: 'The Hobbit' Final Fight
It’s time to return to Middle-Earth for one last adventure in theaters beginning this week, while the former Batman takes on Moses, and the director of The Dark Knight trilogy goes Interstellar at The Pioneer.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of December 12, 2014!
Playing at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, the director of The Dark Knight and Inception takes you to outer space in Insterstellar (rated PG13), starring Matthew McConaughey (Surfer Dude) as a father and astronaut tasked with finding a new planet for humans to relocate to, starting tonight (Friday) for a one week run.
Showtime at the Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

One of the most anticipated releases of the year arrives this week, as The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (rated PG13) opens on Wednesday (Dec. 17) at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.
This sixth and final film in the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit franchise brings back all the familiar faces and names you have grown to love over the last 15 years on screen for what promises to be a massive final act.

Also new in theaters this week, Christian Bale (The Dark Knight) takes on the iconic role of Moses, leading his people to freedom in a big budget update of the classic biblical tale in Exodus: Gods and Kings (rated R), directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator).
