Beachfront Bargain Hunt

A camera crew for Beachfront Bargain Hunt visited the Outer Banks on May 1-4 and filmed a young family’s search for an affordable seaside getaway.

James and Catherine Bergeron of Chesapeake, VA, along with their toddler daughter, Ellie (and a baby on the way), were looking for a home away from home that was within their budget. Catherine, a hospital physician, and James, a stay-at-home dad, wanted a beach house to enjoy on the alternating weeks that Catherine is free from work.

Village Realty’s senior associate broker Karen DelVacchio guided the Bergeron family to a property that would hopefully satisfy all of their needs.

“Their budget was under $200,000 and they were looking for a three-bedroom, two-bath, single-family house. They love Hatteras Island and that’s where they wanted to be,” said DelVacchio.

The Bergerons toured four properties in the area, including three homes and one condominium. In the end, the family was able to choose one of the homes, and is very happy with their decision.

No information has been released yet as to the date when this episode will premiere, but we will let you know as soon as it is confirmed.

Beachfront Bargain Hunt airs on Sunday nights at 9pm on HGTV.
