'Iron Man 3' Gets Academy Award Nomination! [NC Film]

Filmed mostly in and around Wilmington, North Carolina, Marvel’s hit sequel Iron Man 3 has received an Academy Award nomination at the 2014 Oscars!

Filmed mostly in Wilmington, North Carolina, Marvel’s ‘Iron Man 3’ is nominated for the Best Visual Effects Oscar at the 2014 Academy Awards.

Iron Man 3 has been selected as a nominee in the category of Visual Effects.

Also filmed in North Carolina, the comedy Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa also surpisingly received its own Oscar nomination for Makeup and Hairstyling.

The 2014 Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, March 2, starting at 8pm live on ABC.
