Watch ‘Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks’ Season 7 Finale Exclusive Clip

Posted By on October 16, 2020

The locally filmed National Geographic Channel (NatGeo) reality competition series Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks concludes its seventh season this Sunday, and we are excited to premiere an exclusive new clip from this weekend’s Season Finale episode.

On this Sunday’s episode, entitled “Titan Showdown,” as the season comes to a close, the captains make a final push to take home the OBX title.

In this clip from the upcoming episode, the Pin Wheel is immediately stressed as their lines become tangled in an outrigger, and Captain Tyler McLaughlin has to try to make the most of the situation, all with a fish on the other end of the line. Across the water, the Fishin’ Frenzy, the winningest boat in the South, is also hooked up to what could be their final catch of the season, and the crew on board is hoping to best their fellow competitors.

Season 7 of Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks has featured some of the best bluefin tuna fishermen on the East Coast competing in the ultimate battle between North and South, especially as nearly every captain has won a season or been on the crew of a winning boat. With the price of a bluefin being as much as $20,000 apiece, these crews have set the bar high, and the competition remained fierce even through severe storms. Now it all comes down to the wire to decide which tuna titan will come out on top in the ultimate battle for bluefin.

Filmed on the Outer Banks, North Carolina, the breakout TV show spin off of the original Wicked Tuna that follows the exciting work of hardcore tuna fishermen on the Outer Banks, production of the new season began in January, once again shot mostly aboard the boats of the local and visiting captains from Gloucester until the region’s bluefin quota is met.

The Season Finale of Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks comes to an explosive end with an extended 90-minute episode this Sunday, October 18 at 8:30 p.m. on National Geographic.
