Weekend Movie Update – April 5, 2019: Just Say ‘Shazam!’
The newest superhero in the DC movie universe arrives in theaters this week, and along with a new retelling of one of Stephen King’s most terrifying novels.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of April 5, 2019!
The latest film set in the DC Extended Universe, following last year’s Aquaman, is the action adventure Shazam! (rated PG13), which looks to have all the fun of Big but with super powers. It officially opens on Friday, playing locally at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with early preview screenings tonight (Thursday) at 4:20 and 7:10 p.m.

Also new this week, a remake based on the classic Stephen King novel, Pet Sematary (rated R) opens Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with an early preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 p.m.
