‘Cinderella’ Puppet Show Playing At Roanoke Island Festival Park

Posted By on June 29, 2017

The 2017 Children’s Performance Series at Roanoke Island Festival Park kicks off with Cinderella, presented by Columbia Marionette Theatre, live on stage in Manteo.

You are invited to enjoy this peppy marionette interpretation of the classic story in which Cinderella is helped by her fairy godmother, her sidekick stylist Magic Juan, and even the clock at the top of the castle tower to outwit her evil stepmother and win Prince Charming’s heart.

Founded in 1988 by famed puppeteer Allie Scollon and her son John, the Columbia Marionette Theatre (CMT) has established itself as a premiere children’s theatre in South Carolina. Their mission is to entertain and educate children and adults through the long-standing tradition and artistry of puppetry. The theatre features puppets from a few inches tall to over five feet.

Cinderella, presented by Columbia Marionette Theatre, will be performed live in the Indoor Theatre on July 5, 6, and 7 at 10:30am, with an additional evening show on Thursday, July 6, at 6pm.

Tickets are $5 for ages 3 and up, and admission is free for ages 2 and younger. They may be purchased in advance at the park’s Ticket Sales desk or on the day of the event.

This event is sponsored, in part, by Towne Bank, Friends of Elizabeth II and the William and JoAnn Small Family Fund at the Outer Banks Community Foundation.
