Weekend Movie Update – June 16, 2017: ‘Transformers’ Roll Out

There is more than meets the eye to The Last Knight when the fifth Transformers movie crashes into theaters this week, while Scarlett Johansson has a pre-wedding Rough Night, Disney returns to the world of Cars, and Wonder Woman arrives at the Pioneer

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of June 16, 2017!

There is something for everyone in theaters this week, starting with the Disney Pixar sequel Cars 3 (rated G), opening on Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with special preview screenings happening tonight (Thursday) at 7:20 and 9:30pm.

Also opening this week, the adult comedy Rough Night (rated R) parties a bit too hard the night before a wedding, starting Friday at R/C Theatres, with preview screenings tonight (Thursday) at 7:50 and 10:10pm.

The never ending war between the Autobots and the Decepticons resumes in the action extravaganza Transformers: The Last Knight (rated PG13), which has a mid-week opening on Wednesday (June 21) at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with preview screenings happening on Tuesday (June 20) at 8 and 9:40pm.

Already one of the best movies of the year, Wonder Woman (rated PG13) arrives at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo for a two-week stay, starting on Friday, June 16, and playing through June 29.
