Weekend Movie Update – May 25, 2017: ‘Pirates’ Return

Captain Jack Sparrow and his Pirates of the Caribbean are back in theaters this week, while the lifeguards of Baywatch gets a comedic big screen makeover.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for this extended Memorial Day Weekend of May 25, 2017!

Leading this week’s new releases is the fifth film in Disney’s popular adaptation of its classic theme park ride, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tells (rated PG13) opening Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with special preview screenings on Thursday (May 25) at 7, 7:30, 9:50, and 10:15pm.

Also playing at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo starting on Friday, you can check out the official trailer below!

Also new this week, the raunchy comedic movie version of the guilty pleasure TV classic, Baywatch (rated R) opens tomorrow (Thursday, May 25) at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills as well, with preview screenings set for tonight (Wednesday) at 7:10, 7:40, 9:30, and 10:15pm.
