Wolverine Draws Blood in New ‘Logan’ Trailer
A new trailer for Hugh Jackman’s upcoming final performance as the popular Marvel mutant Wolverine in the X-Men spin-off Logan has arrived online today, slicing and raging with new footage of what will likely be a somber R-rated bloodbath of a movie.
Set in the near future, the film follows a weary Logan as he cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine), the film stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for the ninth (and said to be final) time, as franchise favorite Patrick Stewart also returns as Professor X, along with Eriq La Salle, Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez, and introducing Daphne Keen as “X-23”.
Logan will slash into theaters on March 3.
The first of this year’s massive crop of superhero movies to arrive, Logan will be followed by Guardians of the Galaxy on May 4, Wonder Woman on June 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 7, Thor: Ragnarok on Nov. 3, and Justice League on Nov. 17.
