‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Launches First TV Spot [Trending]

The first official TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrived a few days ago and, as expected, it has dominated all top trending topics on the internet ever since.

The new spot is very heavy on Daisy Ridley’s character of “Rey” and features lots of new footage not previously revealed.

How excited are you for Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

Earth 383 in Kill Devil Hills is hosting a pre-movie party at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills at 3pm on Dec. 17, featuring Star Wars 501st Legion Carolina Garrison in costume as various characters from the films and available for photos with fans, in addition to a Jedi trivia challenge, a live recording of the Comics, Life, and Everything podcast, interviews, scene reenactments, and more fun from a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, and features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.

They will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. The film is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters on December 18, with local preview screenings on Thursday, Dec. 17 at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.
