Island Art Show Coming To Rodanthe This Weekend

Posted By on August 31, 2015

The Island Art Show is happening this weekend at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Center, located in the northern villages of Hatteras Island just south of Liberty Gas Station and north of North Beach Campground.

The show will feature more than 20 local Outer Banks artists showing and selling their work, including everything from surf art to seaglass jewelry, as well as handmade soaps, hula hoops, photography, and more.

The two-day Island Art Show is happening this Friday, Sept. 4, from 10am to 5pm, and this Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10am to 4pm at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Center.

Admission to the event is free, as attendees are asked to save their bucks for supporting the local artisans and crafters, and maybe buying some lunch.

BBQ Sandwiches will be provided by Waves Market & Deli, and they will also be grilling up burgers and hot dogs.

Profits from food sales, artist booth fees, and raffle ticket sales will benefit the Surfrider Foundation, Outer Banks Chapter. There will be a raffle basket filled with sweet ‘stuff’ donated by the local artists and crafters, and one lucky winner will be drawn at 4pm on Saturday.

Live local music by Waterhigh on Friday and Chad Bennett on Saturday, starting around lunch time.
