Lower Currituck VFD "Turkey Shoot" Returns Nov. 15

The Lower Currituck Volunter Fire Department’s 3rd Annual Turkey Shoot returns to Powells Point this month.

No turkeys will be harmed during this event, as participants will shoot at targets with a chance to win a prize.

A “turkey shoot” is a shooting contest where frozen turkeys are awarded as prizes. The shoot is held using shotguns aimed at paper targets about 25 to 35 yards away. All ages are invite to participate.

Rounds for the entire family include:
$4 Turkey Rounds
$6 Ham Rounds
$10 Cash Rounds
$5 – $10 Prize Rounds
$4 Kids only Rounds
$4 Ladies only rounds

You can bring your own shotgun or there will be shotguns available for you. Ammunition will be provided at the event, limited to 12, 16, 20, 410 gauge shotguns only please.

The Auxiliary will sell award winning barbecue, hamburgs, hot dogs, and hot and cold drinks.

There will also be a Bounce House for the children, and a bonfire to keep everyone warm.

All funds raised will benefit the Lower Currituck Volunteer Fire Department.

The Turkey Shoot is happening on Saturday, November 15, from 3 to 9pm at LSI Marine Construction, located at 113 Ballast Rock Road in Powells Point.
