Outer Banks Weekend Movie Update – Sept. 5, 2014: 'Guardians' Arrive At Pioneer
For the first time in almost three years since launching our weekly Outer Banks movie updates, there are no new releases opening locally this week, while Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy arrives at The Pioneer.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of Sept. 5, 2014!
Chris Pratt goes to space with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
Premiering tonight (Friday) at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo for one week from Marvel Studios, the epic space adventure Guardians of the Galaxy (rated PG13), about a group of intergalactic misfits who must team up to save the universe.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ arrive in theaters this week.
Chris Pratt of NBC’s Parks and Recreation makes the leap to movie stardom as the human leader of the Guardians, along with Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) as a green-skinned alien assassin, pro wrestler Dave Batista as Drax the Destroyer, and the voices of Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) as a talking racoon named Rocket and Vin Diesel (Fast and Furious) as a talking tree named Groot.
