A new episode of the Destination America series Buying the Beach that was filmed on the Outer Banks is set to premiere this week, featuring a local realtor helping a young couple to find their dream home. It is one of many episodes that were filmed in the area back in April.

In the new series, Destination America plunges into paradise with the latest addition to its popular Buying franchise, Buying the Beach

Spanning more than 95,000 miles of the U.S. coastline from Alaska to California and from Texas to Maine, watch as the all-new series takes real American families on a sandy search for the waterfront home of their dreams.

Buying the Beach offers an inside look at amazing seaside properties across the U.S.A., showcasing unique homes where potential buyers can settle into the sand and soak up the sun mere steps from their own backyard.

According to the official synopsis of this week’s episode, “Newlyweds Bill and Shelley want to settle down and start a family on the shores of the Outer Banks in North Carolina.  But they have one big demand – they want to be able to drive right on to the beach in their 4×4. They see three different houses, one with the perfect entertaining space, another that reminds them of a lighthouse, and lastly a house that is just steps from the ocean. See this couple find their dream home in the perfect beach destination; the Outer Banks.

This locally filmed episode of Buying the Beach, entitled “4×4 Shores”, premieres on the Destination America network at 9pm this Monday, July 17.
