Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby took the stage with his band The Noisemakers before an excited crowd of music lovers covering the spacious outdoor pavilion lawn at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo on Thursday, June 26.

The event was the first of three big shows that are part of the 2014 Brew Thru Summer Concert Series, also including Live with Cracker and Formula on July 10, and Gin Blossoms with Spin Doctors and Scars on 45 on July 17.

You watch our interview with Brew Thru owner Philip Foreman and learn all about the history of this local icon and the future of the new concert series on Episode 16 of our original Outer Banks web series OBXE TV here.

The experimental bluegrass duo Chessboxer, featuring two members of Hornsby’s Noisemakers band, opened the concert with a rousing set of fiddle and banjo instrumentals, followed by The Pat McGee Band, who plowed through a fun set of originals.

At 8:30pm, as the sun set beautifully over Festival Park, Bruce Hornsby took the stage, as the audience went crazy and shot to their feet in joy, and OBX Entertainment was there to capture some of this awesome event for you.
