Dare Arts Council To Host Holiday Art Party Workshop

The Dare County Arts Council is presenting a new workshop with artist Mari Beth LaRose this week called the Holiday Art Party, a fun night where participants will paint a decorative holiday door ornament.

LaRose will lead the group in painting on wood while everyone enjoys snacks and a beverage.  All supplies are included; all you need to bring is a bottle of wine or drink of your choice and your friends. 

 LaRose is a National Board Certified Art Instructor and Professional Artist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Currently she teaches at Manteo Elementary in Manteo, NC and has over fifteen years’ experience teaching children of all ages.

The Holiday Art Party will take place on Monday, December 2nd from 7pm until 9pm. The cost is only $40 for DCAC members or $45 for nonmembers.

This workshop will be in the new upstairs workroom at Dare County Arts Council, 300 Queen Elizabeth Avenue in downtown Manteo.
