Outer Banks Honors Veterans Day 2013

Veterans Day is this Monday, November 11, and there are a number of events scheduled throughout the Outer Banks to honor and remember those men and women who gave all to serve their country.

Nags Head will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Monday at 11am at the town’s Municipal Center Veterans Memorial located at 5401 South Croatan Highway.

Kill Devil Hills will host its annual Veterans Day service on Monday at 12:30pm at the Town Hall Veterans Memorial located on Veterans Drive off of Colington Road.

In Manteo, First Flight Assembly, located at 812 Wingina Street, will host A Salute to Veterans at 7pm on Saturday, November 9.

Back in Kill Devil Hills, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Auxillary #4506 presents the first annual all-you-can-eat Veterans Committee Pig Pickin’ and Cook Out on Sunday, November 10, at 1pm at 800 South Virginia Dare Trail.
