The Lonely Teardrops To Play The Pit [Concert Preview]

Posted By on September 10, 2013

Virginia Beach’s The Lonely Teardrops will bring their unique blend of surf rock to Kill Devil Hills live in concert this month.

The band describes their sound as “go-go meets garage does surf music gone wild.”

NME Magazine says, “Imagine a cocktail of the colorfully crowd pleasing stage antics of Southern Culture on The Skids mixed with the musical dynamics of The White Stripes, add a double shot of Link Wray and Dick Dale stirred vigorously in a Detroit Cobras martini shaker, and you would have only scratched the surface of this engaging house party grenade. These kids have discovered the magic formula for hatching even the harshest wallflower out its shell.”

You can preview the Teardrops in action in the player below!

The Lonely Teardrops with special guests Betty on Patrol will be live on stage at The Pit in Kill Devil Hills on Saturday, September 21.

Doors open at 10pm.

The Pit is located at 1209 South Croatan Highway near Milepost 9 in Kill Devil Hills.
