[Local Buzz] First Colony Inn Hosting Nancy Rascoe Book Signing

Posted By on August 16, 2013

Local author Nancy Rascoe will be giving a brief lecture and then signing copies of her book The Sandy Banks Live On at First Colony Inn in September.

“Miss Nancy” wrote this book about Old Nags Head and other villages here on the Outer Banks from her wish to pass down the stories and history of the area. The stories in her book have been passed down from family members…one generation to the next.

The Sandy Banks Live On starts with the early years at Rascoe Cottage in Nags Head and flashes back to descendants of the early settlers on the Outer Banks. Summer residents, long time locals and natives tell their stories, share their customs and their memories.  A must read book for anyone who loves the Outer Banks.

The photos in the book are wonderful and will take you back to a simpler time on the beach.

Nancy Rascoe will be signing copies of The Sandy Banks Live On at First Colony Inn on Wednesday, September 18 from 5;30 to 7pm.

First Colony Inn is located at 6715 South Croatan Highway in Nags Head.

If you are interested in attending the lecture and book signing please email [email protected].
