Free Screening – PBS's OBX Special "Getting Away Together"!

A special Premier Night for PBS’s “Getting Away Together“, which was filmed on the Outer Banks, is set for this Wednesday night, February 22nd at 5:30pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk.

According to the North Beach Sun, there is no RSVP necessary and everyone is invited.

There will even be an open bar with beer, wine, and popcorn(!), with enough seating available for an audience of up to 400.

"Getting Away Together"

The Sun announced via Facebook on Tuesday that the national PBS show, which was filmed locally in July 2011, will be airing throughout this year in cities all across America.

“Getting Away Together” is a PBS television show that the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau partnered with Currituck County Tourism, the Vacation Rental Management Association, and Brindley Beach Vacations to produce. It highlights an extended family vacationing on the Outer Banks and enjoying the benefits of a home rental.

In addition to the Outer Banks, other episodes of the series will focus on Sevier County, Tennessee; Oceanside, California; Central Oregon, Oregon; Kissimmee, Florida; and St. Augustine, Florida.
