The Beach Boys returned to the Outer Banks for the first time in over 20 years this month for a sold out Father’s Day Weekend concert at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo, presented by VusicOBX.

The Beach Boys are led by lead singer and critically acclaimed chief lyricist Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago, and John Wedemeyer continue the legacy of the iconic band.

This Outer Banks performance featured special guest John Stamos, as the actor fondly remembered as “Uncle Jessie” on the long running sitcom Full House joined the band on guitar and vocals, and drums at times.

The Beach Boys played two full one-hour sets with a 20-minute intermission in between, bringing their “Endless Summer Gold” tour to Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo on Father’s Day Weekend, where it was perfect weather for an outdoor concert on Saturday, June 15.

They played all their most beloved hits, including “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Kokomo,” and more.

Some fans may remember that the iconic pop band last appeared on the Outer Banks when they played at Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills during the Centennial of Flight celebration in 2003.
