Blood Reigns at Innaugural Va. Beach Convention
The 1st Annual Blood at the Beach Horror Convention will take over the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Virginia Beach April 20-22, with more than 40 celebrity guests, various vendors, live music, special screenings, tattoos, and panel discussions.

Highlights of the innaugural event include a 25th anniversary reunion of cast members from 1987’s The Lost Boys, and appearances by various cast members from hit AMC TV series The Walking Dead, including Michael Rooker (“Meryl”; Days of Thunder), Norman Reedus (“Darryl”, Boondock Saints 1-2), Madison Lintz (“Sophia”), and North Carolina native Addy Miller, who appeared as a zombie in the opening scene of the pilot episode.
Among those also scheduled to appear at the innaugural event is Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th parts 7-10, Hatchet 1-2), Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Tombstone), Tony Todd (The Crow, Candyman, Final Destination), and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters 1-2, The Crow).
Other celebrity guest scheduled to appear include William Forsythe (The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween 2007), Joe Turkel (The Shining, Blade Runner), and Camille Keaton (I Spit on Your Grave).
Also sure to excite genre fans is scream queen Danielle Harris (above), who starred in Halloween 4 and 5, as well as director Rob Zombie’s 2007 Halloween remake and its 2009 sequel.
Harris also starred on the long running TV series Rosanne, and in the hit films The Last Boy Scout and Don’t tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. Her horror credits are numerous, including last year’s Stake Land, Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2, Hatchet 2, and Biehn’s upcoming directorial debut The Victim.
The event will kick off with a free Zombie Walk on Friday, April 20th at 2pm in front of the Virginia Beach Town Center.
The convention will take place from 5 to 10pm on Friday, April 20th, from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, April 21st, and Sunday, April 22nd from 11am to 5pm at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach Norfolk Hotel and Conference Center, located at 5655 Greenwich Road in Virginia Beach.
