Captain Tim Story is U.S. Coast Guard licensed, fully insured, and a member of the charter boat drug testing consortium. This is a full time, year-round job for Capt. Tim. He has been fishing the waters of the Outer Banks since a child and loves sharing his passion.

Also, by being a member of the Pure Fishing Pro Guide Team he is able to supply you with the best equipment and baits to use while on one of his charter trips.

Capt. Tim is also a Field Staffer for Big Bite Baits which provides him with high quality saltwater baits to lure that big one in.

The goal of Outer Banks Fishing Charters is to provide you a safe and fun experience when you and your family are on board.

Outer Banks Fishing Charters' Storytail.

Tim’s boat, “Storytail” is a 25-foot center console with plenty of room and storage.

You will feel confident riding and fishing on the Storytail, where you can go from a foot of water to find the shallow feeding drum and trout to the deep blue of the Atlantic Ocean for some arm breaking Amberjacks. The high sides and deep vee of the boat get you there fast and safe even when the water is rough.

The Storytail is outfitted with Lowrance sonar, GPS, chart plotter, and VHF electronics.

The boat also has a bait rigging station, 30 gallon baitwell, two 140-quart fish boxes to keep your catch fresh and can carry 18 rods and reels.

There is even a small porta-potty inside the center console.

Outer Banks Fishing Charters is fun for the whole family.

For parties larger than six people, Outer Banks Fishing Charters has the ability to get you all on the water with more than one boat.

Tim uses some of the best equipment and baits to help ensure the big one does not get away.

You may bring a small cooler on board for your drinks and snacks but please limit it to one, as the boat has a large on board cooler that you are also welcome to use if you like.

Capt. Tim offers sound/inlet trips for fishing the mouth of the ocean and back in the flats of the sound for trout, drum, flounder, blues, spanish mackerel, sheepshead, croaker, spot and many more. These trips are casting lures, live bait rigs, or bottom rigs to lure the fish to your hook, and then your dinner table. These trips usually provide high numbers of fish. Then at the end of your day get a chance to pull some crab pots to add to your dinner.

Outer Banks Fishing Charters also offers the ocean/inlet trip for spanish mackerel, king mackerel, amberjack, shark, blues, triggers, and more. These trips are usually live bait or trolling lures.

Story also provides Kids Adventure Trips, where little ones can learn about the different species of fish and have a rod in hand catching their own in no time. These four-hour trips have plenty of action to keep the kids interested, while Tim is careful to keep and them in calm water, so no worries of any seasickness.

Capt. Tim fishes year-round, seven days a week on the beautiful waters of the Outer Banks.
