2024 Outer Banks Halloween Parade Highlights [Video / Photos]
The 11th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes returned to Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Founded in 2014, the Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes entered its second decade this year, drawing hundreds of participants and onlookers, including registered entries from multiple different states.
Halloween Daily News once again documented the entire event, with exclusive Parade highlights featured on the HDN YouTube channel and watched by over 79,000 subscribers around the world. The three Best In Show winners were also each interviewed and photographed by Halloween Daily News for a special feature on the channel.
In the Age 12 and Under category, four-year-old Kashlyn Beasley of Kill Devil Hills, NC won for her Wednesday Addams costume; in the Age 13 and Over category, 14-year-old Silas O’Reilly of Kill Devil Hills, NC won for his hand-built Black Knight costume; and in the Group category, the Jones Family of Chuckey, TN won for their Ghost Pirates costumes including an entire pirate ship built by dad Jeremy Jones, complete with skull and crossbones flag, skeletons in the portholes, an anchor, and even music.
The free, family friendly event also showcased many of the area’s nonprofit organizations, who hosted the trick or treat stations during the preparty, including Special Olympics Dare County, Beach Food Pantry, and Kill Devil Derby Brigade, with additional support provided by the Kill Devil Hills Police and Fire Departments.
The 2024 Outer Banks Halloween Parade was sponsored by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau , Traveler’s Moon Enchanted gift shop in Nags Head, Ripple Fiber of the Outer Banks, and Halloween Daily News.
