Watch Clip from ‘Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks Showdown’ Season Finale [Exclusive]
The locally filmed National Geographic Channel (NatGeo) reality competition series Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks concludes its ninth season this weekend, and we are excited to debut an exclusive clip from the first of two season finale episodes.
Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks originally premiered in 2014 as Wicked Tuna: North vs. South, taking audiences into the lives of Southern commercial fishermen trying to make a living off the coast of North Carolina’s Outer Banks as they were pitted against fan-favorite captains from the first three seasons of the flagship Wicked Tuna series, which takes place in Gloucester, Massachusetts. A name change in Season 2 switched the title to Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, but the competitive essence remained.
Season 9 is officially called Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks Showdown.
On this Sunday’s episode of National Geographic’s hit series Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks Showdown, Captain Bobby Earl of the Reel E’ Bugging runs into danger coming back into the harbor with a fish on board, nearly destroying the boat in the process, in the first of two finale episodes airing back-to-back.
In the clip from Sunday’s episode, “The Chase is On,” Captain Bobby Earl is returning the docks after a big catch, but runs into problems when he finds his boat is unable to pass underneath the bridge, forcing him to veer off-course. After pinpointing an area for his boat to safely pass, Bobby encounters another problem … the height of the boat may still be too tall to clear the bridge.
Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks Showdown finale episodes air back-to-back this Sunday at 9/8c on National Geographic.
You can watch an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode below.
