Dare County, in partnership with the Outer Banks SPCA, will host a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the brand new Dare County Animal Shelter on Friday, March 19 Wednesday, March 31.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, the event is not open to the public; however, the ceremony will be livestreamed online to allow the public to tune in to the festivities.

The livestream will begin at 11:00 a.m. on March 31 on the county’s YouTube channel at www.YouTube.com/DareCounty.

A video of the ceremony will also be made available on the Dare County YouTube channel after the ceremony for those who are unable to watch it live.
