Dare County Releases PSA Video on Mask Wearing

Posted By on July 6, 2020

Dare County released a new PSA video today (7/6/20) urging everyone to wear a face mask or covering to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and to protect not only themselves and their loved ones, but also the local community and all the communities that Outer Banks visitors will go home to.

The video features a number of local officials, including members of the Dare Board of Commissioners, each of the area’s six towns’ Board of Commissioners, and local residents, workers, and business owners, each making a quick statement about who they “wear a mask” for.

It is mandatory on the Outer Banks and throughout North Carolina that individuals wear a face covering in indoor and outdoor public spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained. There are some exceptions to the requirement, including while eating at a restaurant, legitimate medical or behavioral conditions, and children under the age of 11.

You can watch the new video below.
