UPDATE: R/C Theatres KDH Cineplex Sets (Tentative) Reopening for Aug. 7th
R/C Theatres has announced that all of their movies theaters, including the Kill Devil Hills cineplex, are tentatively scheduled to reopen on Friday, July 31 August 7.
There will of course be new safety procedures and regulations in place when the movie theater reopens.
R/C’s official website states that this date is subject to change, depending on the following:
- Governing authorities’ approval to re-open
- The current release schedule
Upon reopening, the following procedures will take effect immediately:
- Reduced number of tickets per auditorium to allow for social distancing
- Advance ticket purchase will be encouraged for maximum touchless process
- Reserved seating will not be available – this will allow for maximum efficiency of social distancing in auditoriums
- Employees will be wearing face masks
- Guests will be encouraged to wear masks
- Barriers will be in place between employees and customers at sales stations
- Enhanced cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting will be in place
