UPDATE: Dare County Reports 7 More Positive COVID-19 Tests This Weekend
UPDATE: Three additional positive cases have been reported since this article was first published, including two Dare County residents and one non-resident, bringing the total to 32.
The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services has received four seven more positive COVID-19 test results this weekend since our Friday report, bringing the total number of positive COVID-19 tests in Dare County to 29 32 as of Sunday (6/7/20) morning.
The 26th case was reported on Saturday, June 6, with three more cases reported on Sunday morning, June 7, all four of which have been identified as non-residents. Three additional positive test results were reported on Sunday afternoon, two of which are local residents and one of which is a non-resident.
Of the 29 32 total positive cases reported, 22 of those are full time Dare County residents, of which 17 have recovered or are asymptomatically cleared, two four remain active and are recovering in home isolation, and one has died. Nine Ten of the positive cases reported in Dare County are non-residents, of which four have recovered or are asymptomatically cleared, four five are recovering in isolation in their home county, and one is recovering in isolation in Dare.
A third local drive-thru testing event will be announced later this month.
