UPDATE: St. Baldrick’s Cancer Fundraiser Postponed

Posted By on February 25, 2020

OBX Shaveriders’ second annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser in March, to benefit the fight against cancer in children has been postponed, with a new date to be announced at a later time.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Kids with cancer is the reason and inspiration behind the event. Participants are invited to shave their head, or just donate, enjoy a burger and a beverage, and help raise money to find a cure, as more children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease—in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined.

There will be free live music featuring local bands The Ramble and Trick Fly Band.

The event is happening on Sunday, March 15 at Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint in Kill Devil Hills starting at 2:30 p.m., following the 2020 St. Patrick’s Parade in Nags Head earlier that day.

You can RSVP in the official Facebook event page here.

More information and registration can be found at www.stbaldricks.org/events/obxshaveriders2020.
