Weekend Movie Update – Dec. 20, 2019: ‘Rise’ of ‘Star Wars’
The epic conclusion to the Skywalker family saga arrives in theaters this week, while Cats, Spies, and Little Women also hit the big screen.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the holiday weekend of December 20, 2019!
The most anticipated movie of the year, Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (rated PG13) officially opens on Frida, showing locally at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with early preview screenings tonight (Thursday) at 6:00 (sold out), 6:10, 6:20, 6:50, 7:00 (in 3D), 7:10, and 7:15 p.m.

Also new this weekend, the movie adaptation of the Broadway hit Cats (rated PG) opens on Friday, showing locally at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.
Looking ahead to Christmas Day, the latest adaptation of Little Women (rated PG) opens on Wednesday, Dec. 25, playing at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.
The animated comedy Spies in Disguise (rated PG) also opens on Wednesday, Dec. 25, at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.
