Weekend Movie Update – Aug. 16, 2019: ‘Good’ Comedy
Some Good Boys get raunchy in theaters this week, while Springsteen’s music is The Light, divers get trapped 47 Meters Down, and The Angry Birds are back.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of August 16, 2019!
The animated sequel The Angry Birds Movie 2 (rated PG) opened yesterday (Wednesday, Aug. 14) at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.
A new comedy from producer Seth Rogen, Good Boys (rated R) officially opens on Friday, playing locally at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with early previews tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m.
The shark-filled sequel 47 Meters Down: Uncaged (rated PG13) also officially opens on Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with early preview screenings tonight (Thursday) at 7:00 and 9:10 p.m.
Also new this week, featuring the music of Bruce Springsteen, Blinded by the Light (rated PG13) starts Friday in Kill Devil Hills.

Looking ahead, the horror film Ready or Not (rated R) starts on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.
