Celebrate July 4th, 2019 on the Outer Banks

This Independence Day there will be plenty of Outer Banks July 4th fireworks displays happening throughout the area to keep the sky alive with explosions of color in celebration of America’s birthday.

In addition to five different fireworks displays happening from Currituck County to Hatteras Island, additional events include a free concert, a watermelon eating contest, more.

Here’s where you can see fireworks on the Outer Banks and what else is happening to celebrate the holiday on Independence Day, July 4th, 2019!

KILL DEVIL HILLS

The Town of Kill Devil Hills will host its annual Independence Day fireworks display off of Avalon Pier on Thursday, July 4, starting at dusk. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.

NAGS HEAD

The Town of Nags Head will host its annual Independence Day fireworks display off of Nags Head Fishing Pier, with ideal viewing spot available on the beach at the Curlew Street, Hollowell Street, Conch Street, Bladen Street, Bittern Street, Bonnett Street, Barnes Street, and Blackman Street public accesses.

MANTEO

Roanoke Island Festival Park will host a free concert by Snap, followed by the Town of Manteo’s Independence Day fireworks display over the downtown waterfront. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.

AVON

Hatteras Island’s annual July 4th fireworks display will take place off of Avon Pier starting at approximately 9:15 p.m. and lasting for about 20 minutes, visible all along the beach in the village of Avon.

COROLLA

The 27th Annual Independence Day Celebration in Corolla offers a full afternoon of family-friendly activities happening at Historic Corolla Park, featuring food vendors, a corn-hole tournament, a watermelon eating contest, and children’s games, with the fireworks display to begin at dusk.
