Weekend Movie Update – Oct. 19, 2018: Michael Myers Returns for ‘Halloween’
The Boogeyman comes home in theaters this week to celebrate Halloween.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of Oct. 19, 2018!
In a direct sequel to director John Carpenter’s 1978 masterpiece (ignoring all nine other films in the franchise), Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her iconic role as Laurie Strode in the new horror film Halloween (rated R) officially opening on Friday, playing locally at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with an early preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:20pm, preceded by a premiere party hosted by OBX Entertainment starting at 6pm, when Michael Myers will be lurking in the theater lobby and available for photos (if you’re not too scared).

Also new this week, the timely drama The Hate You Give (rated PG13) opens on Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with a preview screening tonight (Thursday) at 7pm.
