‘Aquaman’ Official Trailer Revealed

DC’s newest live action movie, Aquaman swam into San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) to premiere the fist official trailer from the superhero film during Warner Bros. Pictures’ presentation in Hall H on Saturday (July 21). 

Aquaman is the sixth in Warner’s growing DC Extended Universe (DCEU) of big screen movie adaptations, following Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), and Justice League (2017). It will be followed next by Shazam on April 5, 2019 and then Wonder Woman 1984 on November 1, 2019.

The film stars Jason Momoa, reprising his role as the titular hero (also known as Arthur Curry) after a brief debut in Dawn of Justice and a proper introduction in Justice League, along with Amber Heard as Mera, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, directed by James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring).

The official synopsis: Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.

Aquaman arrives in theaters on December 21.
