Roanoke Island Festival Park is getting caught in Charlotte’s Web this week as part of their ongoing summer series of children’s shows.

UNC Pembroke will be performing Charlotte’s Web in the Children’s Show Summer Series at Roanoke Island Festival Park on Wednesday, July 18 at 10:30am and Thursday, July 19 at 10:30am and 6:00pm.

Based on the beloved children’s novel by E.B. White, this is the story of a little pig named Wilbur who was born a runt and raised by the farmer’s daughter, Fern. Wilbur is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that come that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a gentle and wise grey spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen.

Tickets are $5, and ages 2 and under are free.

The Summer Series is sponsored in part by Towne Bank and the Friends of Elizabeth II.

Tickets are on sale now. For more information visit, roanokeisland.com/events.
