Weekend Movie Update – May 18, 2018: ‘Deadpool’ Returns

Marvel’s dirtiest anti-hero Deadpool is back in theaters this week, while a group of grandmothers start up a sexy Book Club, and dogs Show their stuff.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of May 18, 2018!

The “merc with a mouth” is back in ‘Deadpool 2’.

Once again starring Ryan Reynolds as the titular hero with a foul mouth, the action comedy sequel Deadpool 2 (rated R) opens on Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with preview screenings tonight (Thursday) at 7 and 9:45pm. For die-hard fans, R/C is also showing a double feature of both the original Deadpool movie and the new sequel, screening back to back today (Thursday, May 17) only starting at 4:30pm

An older group of feisty grandmas discover the joys of Fifty Shades of Grey in the new comedy Book Club (rated PG13), also opening Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills, with preview screenings tonight (Thursday) at 5, 7:20, and 9:55pm.

Also new this week, the canine-friendly family film Show Dogs (rated PG) starts Friday at R/C Theatres in Kill Devil Hills.
