Tom Hardy is ‘Venom’ in New Official Trailer

Hot out of the ongoing CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Sony has unleashed the full official trailer for Venom, giving us our first look at Tom Hardy completely overtaken by the alien symbiote fan favorite anti-hero of Marvel Comics.

From the official synopsis: One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex, and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector in Venom.

Topher Grace previously played the role of reporter Eddie Brock/Venom in Spider-Man 3, though this new incarnation is not connected to any previous Spider-Man films or the current Marvel Cinematic Universe that includes the Avengers and the newest version of Spider-Man.

In addition to Hardy, the cast also includes Michelle Williams, Woody Harrelson, Riz Ahmed, and Jenny Slate.

Venom arrives in theaters on October 5.
