Locally Produced Comedy Film Casting Extras for Jan. 2 Shoot

Posted By on December 29, 2017

Producers of a new locally filmed comedy featured entitled Budget TV are seeking unpaid background extras to help shoot a scene inside the former Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant & Tavern in Nags Head this Tuesday.

The production will be filming a “music video” dance number starring members of the Outer Banks Centre for Dance and they are in need of as many extras as possible to portray audience members and help fill the house at Kelly’s.

They are looking for men and women of all ages who are dressed for a fun night out at Kelly’s (think dressy or business casual) who can sit or stand and watch a performance by the Outer Banks Centre for Dance.

This is an unpaid calling; however, all who participate will qualify for casting opportunities for future roles in the film as production continues over the next year. The scene is part of the first segment of the comedy anthology Budget TV to be filmed.

Anyone interested in being a background extra should stop by Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant & Tavern in Nags Head between 5:15 and 5:30pm this Tuesday, January 2. Don’t be late, as the doors will be closed for filming promptly at 5:30pm. Filming of the scene should be wrapped up by 6:30pm.

Kelly’s is located at 2316 South Croatan Highway (U.S. 158) in Nags Head.
