Lucero To Play Outer Banks Brewing Station

Posted By on June 6, 2017

Lucero is coming to Kill Devil Hills this summer, live in concert at the Outer Banks Brewing Station in July.

Based in Memphis, Tennessee, Lucero brings a unique “country-punk” sound that has been described as a “synthesis of soul, rock, and country that is distinctly Memphisian.”

The band has released 11 albums and a live DVD, mostly through their own label, while touring throughout North America. Just last month, they played the first ever Earth Rocker Festival with event founders Clutch in West Virginia.

Two tracks by Lucero, “Everything You Need” and “Take You Away”, were used in the 2012 feature film Mud, which was written and directed by vocalist/guitarist Ben Nichols’ brother Jeff Nichols and stars Matthew McConaughey. They also contributed two tracks, “When I Was Young” and “The Other Side of Lonesome”, to the 2014 film Hellion.

Lucero will be live in concert on Monday, July 3 at the Outer Banks Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills. Showtime is at 10:30pm.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the show, available for online purchase here.

You can get a preview of the concert with the official music video for Lucero’s “Can’t You Hear Them Howl” below.
